JP Daughton, former fellow in history, released An Empire Divided: Religion, Republicanism, and the Making of French Colonialism, 1880-1914 in November 2006.
"Thoroughly researched and eloquently written," writes Julia Clancy-Smith of the University of Arizona, "Daughton's comparative study of the complex, often contradictory, relationships between Republicans in France, the Church, and Catholic orders across the French Empire is one of a kind."

Luca Ferrero, fellow in philosophy, published his article "Three Ways of Spilling Ink Tomorrow" in Rationality in Belief and Action (E. Baccarini and S. Prijic-Samarzija eds.) in 2006.

Emine Fetvaci, fellow in art history, delivered a talk titled Making a Royal History Book: The Case of the Shahnama of Selim II at Harvard's Sackler Museum in November 2006.

Deborah Kamen, fellow in classics, delivered a talk titled Marks of Slavery in Ancient Greece and Rome at the American Academy in Rome in March 2007.

Ellen McLarney, fellow in religious studies, organized the conference Marketing Muslim Women at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in April 2007. She also delivered a talk titled Islam in Vogue: Muslim Women in the Media at Stanford in May 2007.
