Evan Horowitz received an AB in English and Mathematics from Brown University and a Ph.D. in English Literature from Princeton. His publications include articles on Samuel Beckett's Endgame and James Joyce's Ulysses, as well as a forthcoming piece on George Eliot's Felix Holt. Currently, he is working on two book projects. The first, an extension of his dissertation, maps literature's long struggle to accommodate the historically unprecedented experiences of industrialism. The second, entitled Revolutions in Literature, looks at how cataclysmic events affect the course of literary history.
